The House Shuffle’s System Shift Process
Utilizing The Fair Play Method
Managing a household is extra hard right now.
It’s even harder when the work isn’t shared fairly.
The System Shift Process will help you:
Get a Grip on Time - where does it all go?
Pick Your Priorities - no one can do it all.
Share The Load - equitably distribute responsibility and agree to standards.
Build The Skills - 1 on 1 expert guidance and support. Skip the endless trial and error and get personalized solutions from a professional organizer.
Set Up Super Systems - things change. Learn how to create and adapt rhythms, routines, and systems to fairly manage household labor for the long haul.
It’s Not Just For Couples!
The System Shift Process is suitable for:
Singles who struggle to keep up with their home and personal obligations.
Couples seeking to create an equitable division of labor in their relationship.
Families who want to methodically teach household and life skills to their children.
People with ADHD and other special brains (+ their frustrated partners)
Engaged couples who want to minimize opportunities for conflict in their marriage.
People navigating big life changes - moving, new parenthood, empty nesting or the end of a relationship.
The System Shift Process might be right for you if:
You and your partner share egalitarian values, but are having a hard time living up to them.
You have enough time to complete the process. This is not a single weekend’s work. Expect to devote about a half day per week to your project for at least 3 months.
You’re comfortable being supported remotely, rather than in person.
You like getting stuff in the mail. All the tools and treats you need to make your work sessions productive and fun are included.

Meet Jayla
I’m Jayla. I’m an incorrigible optimizer. I love getting to know people and solving problems.
Helping people create practical, comfortable homes with The House Shuffle lets me do all my favorite things, everyday.
I am a member of NAPO, the National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals, a Certified Fair Play Method Facilitator and a Mother Honestly Motherboard Expert.
If I’m not working on a project, I’m probably outside walking miles and miles, looking at houses and nature, or reading a book. I read fiction for plot and character, non-fiction to learn how to do stuff and to try to figure people out. If you recommend a book, I will almost certainly read it.
A serial city monogamist, I’ve lived in Portland, St. Paul, Chicago, and Leicester. I currently reside in Tromsø, Norway with my husband, 2 boys, and 2 elderly world-traveling cats.
